Our Services
Thermal Envelope Assessment
ESEC’s team will assess your home or building, recommending improvements for energy efficiency and thermal comfort. You will receive a detailed report focusing on draughts and insulation coverage with recommendations for improvements.
Our home assessment is designed to give you all the information about air leakage and its effect on the thermal envelope or “shell” of your home; that’s why we call it a Thermal Envelope Assessment. This shell is what stops the outside air getting into your home and the warm inside air from escaping. A properly insulated and draught-proofed shell will keep your home as comfortable as possible through hot and cold weather and ensures heating and cooling are used as efficiently as possible, reducing your bills, extending the life of your heat pump and reducing overall energy use.

Scorecard Assessment
Our team can undertake a Residential Efficiency Scorecard assessment of your home. These accredited assessments differ from our Thermal Envelope Assessment by providing an overview and rating of your home’s energy efficiency, giving recommendations on areas that could be improved to give your home a higher score.
A scorecard assessment is a great way to understand all the possible ways to improve the energy efficiency of your home. They are suitable for people wanting a clear way to see how energy efficient their home is, those who may have already undertaken some of this work or those wanting general advice on what to next improve in their home.
Scorecard assessments do not produce a comprehensive report on your home or a quote for draught proofing. More information can be found on the Residential Efficiency Scorecard site.
Draught proofing
After we’ve assessed the thermal envelope of your home we will also give you a detailed list of draught proofing works that we recommend be completed. Our crew of installers are able to perform all the work listed, liaising with you about the look and feel of the draught proofing products as well as advising you on other changes to how you use your home to increase thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
Areas that we commonly draught proof are around external doors, skirting board gaps, wall vents, exhaust fans & unused ducts. We also draught proof doors between areas that are heated and those that aren’t, so that you can control the temperature and comfort levels in different zones.
If you only have a small amount of work you need completed and don’t feel you require any assessment we’re happy to help. Get in touch and we’ll recommend a solution that works for you.
